We have all brands, including Mercedes-Benz Trucks! These belong to the truck division of Daimler Truck AG. Daimler Truck advanced to become one of the biggest truck manufacturers in the world.

Around 125 years ago, we founded the modern transport industry with our trucks and buses. With the Daimler Truck Group, we are now one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers. We employ more than 100,000 people at over 40 locations in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America and numerous sales and service points in most countries around the world. In China we have a 50% stake in BFDA. The joint venture with the Chinese partner Foton manufactures trucks under the Auman brand.

The focus of our activities is on the commercial vehicle business. In our global network, we develop and manufacture heavy, medium and light trucks and buses, which are marketed under the brands BharatBenz, Freightliner, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Setra, Thomas Built Buses and Western Star. With Daimler Truck Financial Services, we can also offer our customers a complete package of vehicles and financial services that is perfectly tailored to them.

The present Mercedes-Benz Trucks models are the new Actros, Axor, Atego, Econic and Zetros.

The Mercedes-Benz Trucks Actros has been around since 1996. It is a completely redesigned heavy-duty class of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks. The heavy-duty vehicles were given their own name for the first time. In 2004, exactly 8 years after the launch, came the Actros MP2 – the first facelift of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Actros. The second facelift was performed 4 years later in 2008, and was called the Actros MP3. Another 3 years later, in 2011, a completely redeveloped Actros was presented.

The successor to the LK models was presented in 1998. It’s name – Mercedes-Benz Trucks Atego. It was the first time that the medium-duty truck was given its own name. Three years later, in 2001, the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Axor appeared. The Axor model series closes the gap between Atego and Actros, with the Axor replacing the heavy-duty Atego models. A facelift followed in 2004, three years after the introduction of the Axor.
