Which MAN truck series are available?
TGA
Since 2000, MAN's heavy trucks have been called TGA. The road version of the series was delivered for the first time with disc brakes on all axles. A wide range of engines was available, from six-cylinder D28 engines to V-10 engines with 660 hp. All engines were equipped with an electronically controlled in-line injection pump. Transmissions available were either manual 4-speed ZF transmissions with 16 gears or automatic 12-speed transmissions. The TGA series was built for a total of 8 years and then replaced by the successor models TGX and TGA. MAN produced approximately 250,000 trucks of the series.
TGX
The TGX series is the successor generation to the TGA and also the bigger brother of the TGS series. Production of this series, designed for long-distance transport, began in 2007. The TGX series thus belongs to the heavy truck class and can transport a total weight of up to 41 tons. Cabs are available in sizes XXL, XLX and XL. The XXL size is one of the largest cabs in Europe, XLX is suitable for long-distance transport and XL for short-distance transport.
From the 2020 model generation, the TGX will be equipped with a fully digital cockpit. In addition, there is a lifted cab with orientation toward the driver, new assistants such as turn, lane change, brake and approach assistants, and comfort seats with wider seat surfaces. Also new are the electronic parking brake and slimmer exterior mirrors for better all-round visibility. Thanks to optimized aerodynamics, the manufacturer promises lower fuel consumption. The most powerful TGX V8 engine has eight cylinders with an output of 680 hp and torque of up to 3,000 Nm. This makes it one of the most powerful trucks in Europe. It draws its power from a 16.2-liter displacement twin-turbo engine at a torque of 1,400 rpm.

TGS
The TGS series is considered the smaller brother of the TGX and was designed for local and distribution transport as well as for use on construction sites. The TGS is also used in long-distance transport. Cabs are available in sizes M, L and LX. The letter M stands for the day cab, L for the sleeper cab and LX for the large double-bed cab. D20 and D26 common-rail diesel engines are used, with a power range from 320 hp (235 kW) to 540 hp (397 kW). The TGS series is available with numerous wheel formulas from 4 x 2 to 8 x 8 and can transport tonnages with a gross weight of 18 to 41 tons, which puts the series in the heavy truck class. Furthermore, a conventional rear axle drive and, for more traction on construction sites, an all-wheel drive HydroDrive are available.

TGM
The TGM series belongs to the light to medium-duty truck class and was designed for distribution and traction transport. Areas of application include agriculture and forestry, distribution transport, fire departments and THW, waste disposal and road cleaning, construction sites and long-distance transport. It is available as a platform truck, dump truck, box truck, transport mixer or skip and roll-off tipper.
Since 2005, MAN has been building the series with a gross vehicle weight from 13 to 26t. Facelifts were carried out in 2008 and 2013, and the second generation of the series was launched in 2017. This is available exclusively with Euro 6 engines. Since 2017, engines with an output of 184 to 235 kW have been available for the TGM series. The driver's cab is available in the sizes C, L, LX and Crew Cab.

eTGM
The MAN eTGM certainly doesn't disappoint: with its outstanding energy and cost efficiency as well as high operational flexibility, it makes switching to electromobility simple. It is 100% electric and therefore emissions-free and quiet as a mouse! The eTGM's range is up to as much as 190 kilometres. It has the same payload as a conventional combustion engine truck. With a maximum output of 264 kW or 360 hp at a torque of 3,100 Nm, it's ideal for inner-city distribution haulage. It won the “European Transport Award for Sustainability” in 2020.
